ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION</h4>+ General discussion and clarification of specific points. Including:<br />+ <br />+ A ‘living together agreement’ – what this might look like and when it might kick in.<br />+ <br />+ Waiting list ‘Rules’ (currently described in the prospectus) may not necessarily describe exactly how it should best be. This needs to be agreed upon soon because implications could include –order of preference in choosing a location for your home in the Coup.<br />+ <br />+ The group gathered decided that the Articles of Association should include a paragraph that references the manner in which the waiting list will/is compiled, i.e. the secretary will keep a list and make it available for all UC members. This formal acknowledgement is necessary also to be clear about who is a voting or non voting member of the UC.<br />+ <br />+ Agreement also reached that the wording needs to be clarified in the prospectus around how apartments may be chosen once design and construction are under way.<br />+ <br />+ End point for the Articles of association– when will the A of A expire and the ‘living together agreement’ start? Group gathered decided the A of A an be dissolved by agreement.<br />+ <br />+ Denying membership<br />+ Remove the reference to 18 years of age in the A of A as a method to refuse membership.<br />+ Need to reference the UC Values, Mission and Vision aligned with ‘conduct unbecoming’ in regards to membership disputes too.<br />+ <br />+ NEXT STEPS<br />+ A of A working group will make the changes as discussed at this meeting and  post the final version to the wiki by Nov 3 for a final comment. All members will have until Nov 10 to input. Following which the working group will submit the Articles to the Public Office to ensure it is consistent with their requirements. ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION<br />+ Andrew received a lot of feedback, which hasn’t yet been synthesized.  Karen and Adrian also been working on this, however none of these three present at meeting to provide feedback.<br />+ <br />+ Andrew will be revising based on suggestion and circulating reviewed articles on friday<br />+ <br />+ Issues: There where several issues raised on the articles which where briefly discussed.  A decision made to start a link on the Wiki to provide more detail on issue and ways to address.  Issues included:<br />+ •	How to remove/deal with someone who is showing extremely anti-social behaviour eg: drug lab or psychotic issues<br />+ •	Uncomfortable with 1 unit holder because it maintains a power dynamic within a household.  Mechanisms required to recognize that households don’t have a single leader<br />+ •	Discrepancy between the different layers of the association including roles that general meetings and committee meetings play.
