Urban Coup Vision, Missions and Values:
Our Vision is:
Our home is the Urban Coup. We are a resilient, positive, inspiring and diverse community that contributes to a healthier world and enriches each others’ lives.To bring our vision to reality:
1. We will utilise our values to realise the physical, economical and social structure of our community.2. Our collective strength will be greater than the sum of our individual contributions. We will celebrate ourselves as individuals and as a community.
3. We will seek to consolidate resources where sensible for the benefit of our community and the planet.
4. We actively seek people of diversity to contribute to our Urban Coup.
5. We value opportunities to have fun, love, grieve, celebrate, commiserate, laugh, explore, create and play together. We will respect each other’s trust, opinions, needs and boundaries.
6. We will share food together regularly.
7. We acknowledge our community and lives will undergo change during our journey. We aim to achieve resilience with our ability to accommodate change. This change will reflect our values.
8. We recognise conflict will occur. We commit to resolve conflict in an open and respectful manner and environment, free from blame, utilizing the solution orientated approach of the modified consensus model.
9. We will create the Urban Coup Charter and Governance structure acknowledging that it will be as dynamic as our community.
10. We will follow through on the commitments we make individually and as a group to ensure that our time lines are met.
Our Values are:
We believe respect for one another involves……consideration, integrity, acceptance, compassion, trusting one another, authenticity, understanding, accountability, responsibility and, listening.We will foster positive and supportive relationships that build trust and personal growth.
We will create a welcoming environment for people visiting our community.
We will nurture the sanctuary and refuge that is our home.
We will live lightly on the earth and strive to achieve 'One Planet Living'.
Our home will be a rich hub of creativity and inspiration. We will honour individual needs for solitude, creativity and growth.

We seek to create a home that is safe physically and emotionally.
We seek to document our journey to share with others.
We seek to develop a community that balances privacy and community.
