Regular meetings with newcomers

No sooner were we in the swing of regular meetings as our new extended group of 30 households, we were spinning off course! We had sincere intention, but we desperately needed process and protocol, fast! Decision making and conflict resolution fumbled along badly in those first few months and probably put a lot of people off attending meetings at all. Inevitably leaders emerged and coordinated working groups began to satellite around meetings instead. A much preferred way to go! Hearing and aligning the views and needs of 30 households at a meeting is like herding cats!
