DECISION MAKING MODEL
It was identified from early in the Coup’s existence that a formal and inclusive decision making process was required. To this end a ‘modified consensus’ model had been adopted – we just had to make it practical for every Couper to be involved with decision making, whether or not they were in the country at the time! And, of course, the model had to enable broad involvement while still enabling decisions to be made and the Coup to progress. To this end, three tiers of decisions were identified, from major to minor, and a process that could involve both use of the web and meetings to progress decisions.
After much research, concentration and debate, the model was born and agreed to and the model designers went and had a good lie down.
